Dedicated to Serving New Brighton

Patrick A. Sowah is a dedicated community leader, mental health professional, and public servant committed to building a stronger, safer, and more connected New Brighton.

Originally from Liberia, West Africa, Patrick now proudly calls Minnesota home. His life has been shaped by a passion for service, leadership, and empowering others through education and community engagement.

As a provisionally licensed clinician, Patrick serves Minnesotans between the ages of 11 and 75 — helping individuals and families overcome emotional and behavioral challenges, strengthen relationships, and build resilience through compassionate, evidence-based care.

Patrick believes the best leaders listen first, bring people together, and focus on practical solutions. That philosophy guides his campaign for New Brighton City Council.

Served as National Youth Policy Compliance Coordinator, promoting accountability and youth engagement in public service.
Aberdeen, South Dakota
Earned his Master's in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health at Northern State University.
New Brighton, Minnesota
Now a practicing clinician and Ph.D. candidate, running to bring that same ethic of service to City Council.
